BEN

Ben, Suffolk Punch gelding, 15hhs, late twenties. Ben is among the most endangered breeds in the world. There are less than 1100 Suffolk Punch Draft Horses in the world. They are also the oldest breed of draft horses in the world, known for their deep red sorrel color like the soil where they originated from in Suffolk England. As a result of poor genetics, Ben is developmentally challenged but even so he is the best “Uncle” babysitter around and largely responsible for keeping the fillies all in line! Ben has been adopted out 2x but has come home both times during his seven years with us. He loves his home here with herd he calls family and he has an important among them. Due to his developmental issues and performance anxiety, he is not asked to do anything more than just be the magnificent horse he already is! Ben is also best friends with Punch! Where you find one you will find the other!
